A documentary about the work of legendary Swedish cinematographer Sven Nykvist, who was a longtime collaborator of Ingmar Bergman.

My favorite anecdote from the documentary, about the filming of Bergman’s Persona (1966):

Sven, he described the whole atmosphere of when they were shooting Persona. Everyone was going crazy, including Sven. Because Sven became sort of a father/confessor of the two women (N.B.: Liv Ullmann & Bibi Andersson), their feelings about all this. And then Sven was laughing and was saying ‘What do you think about me? I was going crazy: I was in love with both of them, I couldn’t help it, I was just photographing them…’
